چکیده
Abstract Objective We examined perceived workload as it is related to Brief Visual Memory Test-Revised (BVMT-R) short-delay and long-delay performance in traumatic brain injury (TBI) healthy comparison (HC) participants. Method The sample consisted of 39 TBI participants 54 HC Demographically corrected BVMT-R scores were used evaluate performances. was measured using the NASA-TLX. Results ANOVA revealed that group outperformed on score, p < 05, ? 2 = 0.05. ANCOVAs controlling for age NASA-TLX differences. In regards NASA-TLX, reported higher levels physical demand, effort, frustration overall subjective compared participants, 0.01–0.09. Furthermore, BVMT-R, temporal group, 0.05, 0.05–0.14. Conclusions demonstrated worse performances than However, survivors demands both BVMT-R. Our findings suggest impacts non-verbal memory long-delay. Also, may be impacting survivors’ awareness their performance. Further work required determine what drives impaired perception among survivors.

The validity, diagnostic value and replicability of Bender Visual-Motor Gestalt Test in traumatic brain injury patients
Introduction: Bender Gestalt test is one of the most famous neuropsychological tests that is simple and it can be used to examine brain injuries. The objective of this research was to investigate the validity, diagnostic strength and the replicability of the Bender Visual-Motor Gestalt Test in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods: 240 participants were tested in a case-control st...

Retrospective review of a consecutive patient series (n = 115) referred for neuropsychological examinations for traumatic brain injury was undertaken to evaluate an embedded measure of symptom validity for the Continuous Visual Memory Test (CVMT). Performance on the Test of Memory Malingering (TOMM) and Word Memory Test (WMT) was used for classification. Individuals who failed the TOMM or WMT w...

Objective(s) Cytokines such as IL-1β are involved in inflammatory responses. This study evaluated the role of two different kinds of drugs (ibuprofen and celecoxib) on brain IL-10 and IL-1β after traumatic brain injury (TBI) in male rats. Materials and Methods Rats were assigned into 6 groups: intact, sham, TBI, and treated rats with vehicle, celecoxib or iboprophen. Cytokine concentrations ...
